We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team!

Main tasks&responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Components and Services Business Unit leader, the Business Development Manager Battery Components works to improve Tungsram’s market position and achieve sales growth.
• He/she identifies new business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals, maintains an extensive knowledge of market conditions, key competitors and industry players
• The BD manager will work closely with the manufacturing plants and supporting organization.
• Prospects for potential new clients
• Builds up a solid pipeline of new opportunities to drive growth
• Develops and executes annual sales plans
• Meets regular sales targets and coordinates sales projects
• Researches/establishes/nurtures long term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements;
• Negotiates tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
• Understand the needs of customers and respond effectively with a plan on how to best meet them
• Develops a good understanding of Tungsram’s capabilities in order to lead the build-up of business cases to support strategic development/investment plans
• Attend industry functions, events, conferences to represent its organisation and stay up to date on industry trends

Requirements:

• Five years or more of BD experience
• Previous successful sales experience with original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in the automotive industry
• Technology oriented/enthusiast
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, networking skills
• Positive, creative thinker and good at problem solving
• Self-starter, independent, but can play in a cross functional team environment
Fluent in German and English (Hungarian is an advantage)
• BSc/BA or MSc in the field of Engineering/Trade/Economy
• MBA is an advantage
• Ready to travel
• Microsoft Office knowledge
