General description
The responsibilities of Head of Controlling include:
- The Operative and Strategic Controlling of T-Systems Slovakia, s.r.o.
- The support of the Finance Director in managing T-Systems Slovakia, s.r.o.
- The guidance and support of the Management Board and Directors Board on commercial and finance related areas
- The guidance and support of operative business units in managing their financial performances
- The assurance that all business activities follow the commercial standards and principles of T-Systems International

Accountabilities
Responsible for the Strategic Controlling:
- Strategic Planning - setting the strategic company targets and their supporting actions; provide a strategic Management Information System
- Strategic Control - operation of regular strategic performance analyses
- Responsible for the Operative Controlling:
- Overall responsibility for all controlling specific activities during month-end and year-end closing
- Responsible for opex and capex controlling as well as for analyses on budget and forecast variances
- Ensures full transparency on transfer pricing or internal cost charging on the accounts (inbound, local and global) across the entire customer-specific E2E processes
- Responsible for the bottom-up calculation of internal charging prices used by operative/non-operative business units of T-Systems Slovakia, s.r.o.
- Attends, prepares and presents the financial figures for regular meetings with the
-Headquarters (e.g. regular PoP meetings) for all Slovakia-related acounts (inbound, local or global) or operative/non-operative business units
- Responsible for the planning and forecasting process in T-Systems Slovakia, s.r.o. aligned with the headquarters of Deutsche Telekom (DTAG) and T-Systems International
- Supports the operative and non-operative business units to continuously improve their business processes
- Supports the Finance, Procurement, Facility Management and Commercial Management Teams in their daily operative business
- Responsible for the continous improvement and further development of the cost accounting system
- Responsible for the continous improvement and further development of a modern and forward looking reporting (including forecasting, ad hoc reporting etc.): BI Tool, Automation, Robotics and AI
- Responsible for the continous improvement and further development of the commercial Information technology (IT)-processes
- Responsible for the development of excellent relationships to the various stakeholders of the Deutsche Telekom Group like Group Controlling (DTAG/TSI), Group Accounting (DTAG/TSI), Tax Office (DTAG), Commercial Management (TSI), Local Business Units etc.
- Ensures all controlling-specific activities follow the principals and guidelines of Group Controlling of the Deutsche Telekom and T-Systems International
- Briefs the Finance Director regularly on every operative business unit, inbound/local/global accounts and cross-functional units (weekly basis)
- Leads and develops the Controlling management team and team members of T-Systems Slovakia, s.r.o.

Controlling
- Qualification – Fully ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified with relevant finance/ controlling/ business accounting related university degree
- Controlling methods & principles – excellent knowledge of best practice approaches and experience of implementing them successfully
- Planning & Forecasting – excellent experience in managing the planning and forecasting process throughout a highly diversified and complex company
- Closing activities – excellent knowledge of all necessary activities for month-end and year-end closing
- Reporting – excellent knowledge of best practice reporting approaches and experience of implementing them successfully
- Business Cases – excellent knowledge in preparing business cases on various subjects like company, accounts or contracts
- Business Processes – good knowledge of ITIL processes
- Professional experience – more than 10 years experience in the IT or management consulting sector Finance & Taxes
- Financial Accounting Standards – excellent knowledge of Slovakian Gaap and IFRS
- Financial Closing – excellent knowledge of month-end and year-end closing activities
- Taxes – good knowledge of international tax regulations such as transfer pricing, double tax agreements etc.
- Risk Management – vast experience of evaluating commercial/financial risks People
- Performance Management – experience of performance management of medium/large sized team and experience in dealing with difficult situations when required
- Motivating others – experience in peers in motivating teams across the business and experience in motivating senior employees to become a high performing team, to bring them to the next performance level; continuously drive the progress of the Controlling team, but also for the entire Finance&Controlling team
- Influencing others – demonstrated in multiple incidences of influencing decision makers internally and externally
- Conflict Management – exposure to managing conflict at senior levels within both internal and external
- Communication & presentation skills – rounded communicator and confident at presenting and credible at senior management level
- Training/Educating – excellent manager in bringing his team to the next skill level Leadership
- Account Management (setting vision, strategy and priority) – experience of being part of the client’s vision and driving the contract levers
- Role model – lead by example; demonstrate a strong and encouraging way of “walk the talk”
- Prioritisation Management – able to prioritise day to day activities with no supervision and can plan the goals and strategic directions of team when required
- Networking skills – large network within organisation and some level of external network
- Coaching – vast experience of coaching of people at varying levels across the business
