Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description
  • Preparation/collection of service deliverables (acc. to service description) in timely manner and analysis of results and delivery to internal customer
  • Optimization of individual working methods and maintain records and systems
  • Suggestions for process improvements
  • Communicate with internal customers (e.g. countries and various business units)
  • Maintain relationships with internal customers and provide assistance with problems these customers may encounter
  • Support team leader with processes and products and act as single point of contact for dedicated area

  • Capital expenditure (CapEx) & Special Factors Controlling
  • Analysis and validation of CAPEX + Special Factors based on the data from the relevant source systems prepared in consultation with the relevant departments and the Business Partner
  • Operational support of month-end closing
  • Ad-hoc requests and analysis according to business needs
  • Role of controlling approver in the procurement process. Perform reviews and releases the shopping carts according to defined criteria; control the correctness of accounts and cost elements, the content of shopping carts, release budget for CAPEX shopping carts based on prior approval
  • Forecasting activities – prepare the forecast with the business partner
  • Prepare reporting files and comment the deviation from the last to the current forecast, support input forecast data into forecast tool, review forecast with respective controlling manager
  • Budget activities – generate and comment the bottom-up iPF (internal abbreviation for financial planning), prepare respective files and comment the deviation from the last to the current iPF
  • report results to senior management

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

  • University education in Business Administration / Economics (ideally with focus on subject matter)
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in subject matter or work experience in a Shared Service Centre is a benefit
  • English B2 – mandatory
  • German B1 – advantage
  • Knowledge of Finance and Controlling processes and procedures is a benefit
  • SAP or comparable ERP system knowledge is advantage
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) - advanced
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills
