Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description / Purpose
- Solution Designer is responsible for analysis and proposal of appropriate solution/s for customer’s demand with respect to different options on market, available internal systems, and DT standards; and for subsequent preparation of technical documentation for developer.

- Analyze initial customer demand to obtain all relevant information about business need
- Identify different options for fulfillment of customer’s demand to find optimal solution with appropriate ratio effort/price/time/quality.
- Perform consulting to customer with respect to technical realization to mitigate differences in business vs. technical requirements
- Work on rapid deployments of showcases/pilots/PoCs
- Check scope reduction resp. new alternative solutions if standard solutions do not fulfill customer’s demand
- Design integration of solution/application to existing systems
- Overall steering of creating application/solution specifications, ensure quality and consistency of solution specification
- Perform cross-system and/or system-related solution specification
- Start, steer and monitor realization of implementation & steer exchange of delivery items
- Design test driver, simulators & automation, logical test cases for test items, test infrastructure, test end & test abort criteria from release & test criteria
- Perform lessons learned

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and German - Upper intermediate (B2)

- University degree (minimum Bachelor) ,
- 3+ year in IT field,
- Project management overview
- Deep knowledge on relevant business processes
- Deep knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP R/3
- Lead abilities

- MS Excel knowledge advanced
