Lead Automation Specialist (Regulatory Reporting)

Key Responsibilites

The Lead Automation Specialist will ensure his/her team digitally transform regulatory reporting processes and migrate manual data preparation steps to reusable automated data processing workflows. The Automation team will work with the teams preparing regulatory reports to understand the requirements set by the financial regulators and the procedures by which the reports are presently created.

A keen interest in learning about and working with data integration / transformation tools is expected. The team is also expected to work with robotic process automation (RPA) tools.

The Lead Automation Specialist will liaise with senior stakeholders both within and outside of the Finance division, thereby gaining exposure and opportunities to widen his/her network.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of Automation, Data Transformation and Integration Specialists, building their skills, and allocating them to projects and tasks effectively
  • Goal setting and performance appraisals
  • Guide individual Specialists to analyze the impact of automating manually executed processes, involving data preparation steps (downloading / acquisition, structuring, cleansing, filtering, enrichment)
  • Ensure ETL best practices are established and maintained
  • Understand requirements and challenges from reporting teams
  • Ensure data gaps and data accuracy issues are raised using company's IMR process
  • Support reporting team in testing process
  • Support and train team members about regulatory requirements and data transformation tools
  • Ensure risks and issues related to the projects are escalated in a timely manner
  • Liaison with multiple departments at global, regional and country level at various levels of seniority
  • Provide support to CSC and country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries)
  • Ensure new processes and user guides for new systems are documented
  • Support the work of the Financial Reporting Group Manager by executing further relevant tasks he/she allocates
  • Completion additionally of any other tasks in connection with the role but not detailed in the current job description, as charged by the direct manager or the function head

Requirements

  • People management experience
  • Experience in financial or risk regulatory reporting
  • 7-8+ years of relevant working experience
  • High level of Microsoft Excel Proficiency (VBA knowledge is a plus)
  • Familiarity with advanced data integration/transformation workflow tools (e.g. KNIME, Alteryx, Talend, Dataiku, Python etc) is an advantage
  • Experience with project end-to-end management is preferred (from Business Analysis point of view)
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • Knowledge of an additional EMEA language is an advantage

Qualifications:

  • University / College degree or equivalent  in Computer Science or related Information Technology field or Economics with demonstrated history of actively using data integration tools
