Cost Performance Process Lead

Key Responsibilites

• Controller of the company and its subsidiaries and complete reviews of monthly accounts, working with Tax and Leadership team
• Manage the relationship for Global Fixed Cash Costs ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly accounts submissions to Group for both Cost Companies.
• Work with Leadership teams to review and explain budgets and variances.
• Manage period end activities ensuring financial reporting is carried out in accordance with Group accounting policies and the Group Reporting Manual (GRM).
• Lead Cost Allocations process across the Portfolio and assisting processes.
• Leading simplification and process improvements.
• Assist team and Global Cost Manager in the Annual Planning process, reviews providing insightful variance analysis
• Ensure balances are reconciled to enable the on-time closing of financial periods to extremely tight deadlines.
• Review and approve journals to the GL, ensuring entries are reasonable and in accordance with accounting policy.
• Manage intercompany transactions ensuring they are settled and processed correctly on a periodically basis.
• Review Intercompany reconciliations with counter parties ensuring Intercompany differences are kept to a minimum.
• Manage a team of 3 Cost Analysts covering IST Cost activity across IST (excluding NAGP).
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations for monthly BSI review with Leadership team.
• Full project management responsibility including planning and organising.
• Manages a large team of professionals including coordinating, managing and mentoring. Required to leverage resources to achieve goals and objectives within the team or operational area.
• Contributes to policy/strategy development for overall operation of the Business Service Center.
• Required to develop solutions to complex operational problems that will improve business efficiency and cost effectiveness which result in new precedents for the business.

Requirements

Education:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business/Finance

Experience:
• 8+ years experience in related areas
• 2+ years experience managing teams
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to deliver results against tight deadlines
• Ability to take initiative and look to drive process change and improvement
• Ability to build cross team relationship
• Fluency in English
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly numerate with strong analytical capabilities
• Strong influencing skills.

Desirable qualifications:
• Able to work on multiple conflicting priorities under time pressure.
• Experience of leading teams and managing performance.
• Deep knowledge of SLA’s – defining, negotiating, metrics.
• Shared services experience – preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP
