International VAT Expert with German

Our partner is a well-known multinational company, a leading business-to-business distributor of business essentials.

Key Responsibilites

  • Handle outside domestic country VAT registration processes
  • Prepare and report outside domestic VAT reports and other included data for VAT registration outside the base country
  • Have connections with external auditors in each registered country to be in line with local VAT rules
  • Implementation of checking procedures for VAT
  • Work closely with Group IT to implement new VAT reports for existing and new registrations
  • Control the VAT reports created in ERP system
  • Be the back up person for all the Closing and Reporting Managers in VAT reporting for applicable countries based upon request.
  • Prepare, review and supervise process documentation for VAT registration and reporting to ensure completeness. Ensure that the documents are up-to-date
  • Coaching SSC colleagues professionally based upon need and request
  • Ensure that processes are in line with Company policies


  • Academic degree in finance or work experience that gives sufficient knowledge
  • Several years of experience in VAT
  • Strong English and German in spoken and intermediate in written language
  • Good understanding of financial processes
  • Goal oriented and with good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Analytical mindset
