Business Analyst

Our partner is an integrated European bank-insurer with 36.000 employees serving over 10 million clients in Europe. They are starting a green field investment and they are looking for a Business Analyst colleague into their team. Key Responsibilites

  • act as liaison between Business and IT, as assigned
  • communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organization as a whole
  • understanding business change needs, assessing the business impact of those changes, capturing, analyzing and documenting requirements and supporting the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • understanding customers’ objectives, processes, and products E2E in the whole value chain in order to make educated recommendations by using process modeling tools
  • determine business requirements based on the company's specific documentation rules (eg need definition, , business case, functional requirements, use cases, test cases)
  • perform impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
  • determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Performs and participates in the analysis, (re)design and implementation of business and systems processes and procedures following appropriate standards
  • have a user level knowledge of supporting applications
  • showing knowledge of business data and their lifecycle
  • prepare reports and analyses (e.g.: product sales and profitability, market trends) and interprets data to
  • support application testing, implementation, and training activities

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Technology, Engineering, Science or Economics
  • having financial product, process and market experience
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst.
  • demonstrated analytical, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • proven experience in analytical and process modeling tools like Visio, UML, ARIS, ERD
  • firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end program management; demonstrated ability to think strategically
  • ability to work independently and be self-accountable to deliver a high level of performance
  • excellent problem solving abilities, proactivity, able to put theory into practice
  • ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • hands-on experience engineering and documenting process flows , experience with use case development
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English

Preferred skills

  • working as an analyst or business analyst in a multinational company
  • past experience with core banking or other system implementation
  • prior relevant experience in complex projects
  • end user experience of the company's core and/or other applications
  • experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • experience with relevant methodology (BIAN, VSM, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)
