Senior Master Data Manager

Our client is a world leading multinational company which is looking for a Senior Master Data Manager!

Key Responsibilites

  • Maintain Corning corporate master data in defined systems to include: Vendor, Customer, Accounts, Department, Business Units, Product Code, Projects, Items, System Access and associated hierarchies.
  • Ensure process, policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times.
  • Validate and enter data as defined by set policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and sort source documents, identify and interpret data to be entered.
  • Contact originators or approvers of source documents to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Detect data discrepancies and make necessary corrections to information entered.
  • Compile, sort, and verify accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Keep record of work completed and customer communications.
  • Will be required to interact with multiple users for obtaining sign-offs on data.
  • Prepare regular and special periodic reports.
  • Participate on projects when need arises.
  • Audit data for consistency and adherence to policy.
  • Work with all levels of finance, procurement, and sales organizations to complete work.
  • Train new people in group and work with customers to ensure adherence to the defined processes.

Requirements

  • -2 years applicable experience in MDM and/or 4 years experience in SSC is a MUST
  • Experience to manage, analyze and fix complex problems
  • Able to use root cause analysis tools
  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and provide high level summary of data to top management
  • Strong knowledge of desktop applications (MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and advanced reporting skills (Vlookup, Pivot, /Macro writing nice to have)
  • Experience as project support in cross-functional projects
  • Experience with data conversions/migration and testing data conversions
  • Think out of the box, able to develop and progess new ideas (realized 2 - 3 process improvements in Operations)
  • Green/Yellow Belt certificate is a plus
