Junior System Administrator

Our Swiss client was founded in 1988 and specializes in the development of custom-made high-end software solutions. It is based in Zürich, has 190 employees and offices in Bern and Budapest. Its trademarks are technological competence and continuous innovation. Its predominantly Swiss customers include banks, authorities and other organizations that manage highly sensitive data. Their engineers have successfully implemented an entire series of large-scale Java applications and single sign-on solutions for these customers. They are currently recruiting software engineers knowledgeable in Java/JEE with a keen interest in application development in a UNIX/Linux environment. Depending on your interests and qualifications, your tasks will include web and business application development, database modeling and programming, and the integration of new components and technologies into existing systems.

Key Responsibilites

  • Manage user accounts, prepare workplaces
  • Install, configure and administer physical and virtual infrastructure devices and infrastructure services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and end-user problems using ticketing system
  • Support of local employees and infrastructure including 1st level support
  • Continuous inventory administration
  • Provide technical support and assistance for company events and presentations
  • Handle and track new IT device orders
  • Daily contact with System Engineering team members located in Zürich, Singapore and Vietnam


  • University or college degree in IT
  • Fresh gratuates are very welcome!
  • Know-how in operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS)
  • Ability to work individually
  • Quick and accurate problem solving skills
  • Being able to adapt to flexible work hours
  • Sufficient English skills to work in an English-speaking team, German is an asset
