AP Manager

Our prestigeous FMCG partner, looking to open a new Shared Service Center in Budapest, has an open position for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager, with a proven track record in people management, financial planning, change management and strategy development.

Key Responsibilites

As an AP manager you will be responsible for designing, managing and optimizing the organization and execution of the Accounts Payable Bank administrations and processes, in line with corporate guidelines and the financial strategy, making sure the processes run optimally and results and financial reports are correct and compliant to (local) procedures and legislation. You will also manage and carry out activities on behalf of the Creditor Bank administration to ensure objectives related to the handling and treatment of creditors debtors are realized.

Key Tasks:
  • Developing Accounts Payable Bank process strategy, contributing to higher level strategy development
  • Preparing year plan/budget for Accounts Payable Bank based on the input from team leaders
  • Periodical financial and KPI reporting
  • Providing information and insights regarding financial data for management by means of periodical and ad-hoc reports
  • Internal control implementation
  • Overview corporate policies and guidelines regarding Accounts Payable Bank accounting (submitting proposals of change, creating change impact analyses, implementing changes)
  • ICF and SOD advice, implementation and control
  • Coordination of internal and external audits
  • Leading, coaching, developing and appraising Team managers and Process manager within the Accounts Payable Bank team - leading all HR initiatives
  • Building and maintaining a network of relevant stakeholders/partners
  • Monitoring internal/external development and related information
  • Defining, planning, managing and coordinating assigned projects
  • Proactive optimization and improvement of Accounts Payable Bank processes and services


  • Education: academic/masters in finance
  • Professional knowledge: thorough understanding of IFRS, SAP ECC and Basware
  • Language: fluency in English
  • Experience in the field of finance: minimum of 6 years
  • Experience in management: minimum of 4 years
