Job description, responsibilities and duties

Polaritas & AccuDock is seeking a Sales Representative / Business Development specialist with at least 2 years’ experience in Sport Technologies and/or Marine Industry.
Position is responsible for bringing in a consistent flow of profitable new business to the company. Follows internal sales and customer relation policies and actively seeks conventional and non-conventional methods of improving competitive positioning and market share. Actively works to develop, improve, and enhance relationships with potential and existing customers and avidly works to maintain and foster a positive customer experience at every level of the sales process.

• Prospect/network for new business, developing relationships with new partners (general contractors, builders, commercial developers, property managers, sport clubs, national/international sport associations)
• To seek out and identify opportunities for new business, customers and market growth.
• Analyze and understand customer bid requirements, manage the proposal development response accordingly, and determine when to bid or when to pass. Prepare bid response pricing and service schedule for response to the bid.
• Research, find, and review project plans and specifications to determine project specific opportunities.
• Completes adequate cold and warm calls as specified by management and maintains database to track lead status.
• Maintains record and tracking of all proposals in progress and timely follows-up to maximize sales opportunities. Pursues all proposals in progress.
• Maintains a company-owned database of current customers, prospective customers and past customers to support the marketing and sales effort.
• Know how to work with contracting officers, how to gain required information and how to ask right questions.
• Develop assignment plans in accordance with the RFP and assign proposal sections to appropriate subject expert.
• Maintains existing relationships while also building new relationships.
• Maintains a market awareness of planned projects and bidding strategies.
• Designing high-quality product specifications, sales/marketing materials
• Reporting to Polaritas (Hungary) and AccuDock (US)
• Representing the companies at national and international meetings, conferences and sport events.

Desired Skills and Experience:
• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience required, preferably as a Sales / Business Development, Project Leader or equivalent related experience. National and/or international bid experience preferred.
• Good technical/mechanical skills are advantageous
• Ability to manage bids of varying size, scope and complexity, and multiple bids at once.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership skills to work effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed. Ability to stay motivated and focused through a multi-step sales process.
• Exceptional presentation, verbal, and communication skills.
• Reliability/dependability is key
• Fluency in English (written, spoken) and preferably in another European language (French, German) in addition to Hungarian
• Track record in kayaking, canoeing and/or rowing is favored
