HR Payroll Team Leader (Fluent German)

Objective of the job:
HR Iteration Manager manages a team of HR staff in an HR Service Center. You are responsible for the delivery of a high quality, customer focused service to clients and for the timely and accurate processing of complex HR transactions and all related tasks (e.g. Contact Centre inquiry handling) within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and control frameworks.


You are responsible for maintaining good working relations between the squad members, and for good climate / morale.
The Iteration Manager needs to work closely with the senior squad members when preparing training plans for squad members and take corrective actions when the performance of the squad is not satisfactory.
The Iteration Manager needs to know the details of the processes covered by the squad and to be aware of current issues, challenges, focuses and needs of the squad. The following processes are covered by the account’s Payroll squad(s).

You are responsible for leading, motivating and managing your squad and ensure that they are cross-trained/multi-skilled and proactive customer focused.

In addition, you continually strive to improve the HR processes and motivate your squad members to do the same. As an Iteration Manager you will still have operational responsibilities as an HR Professional and assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Leads the Iterations
• facilitates the Agile governance model and iteration process
• runs the Agile ceremonies for the squad
• manages the wall of work, and run the agile ceremonies such as: stand up, the retrospectives, showcase, risks and issues, and iteration planning sessions
• always keep SLA results in mind - handles transactions / incoming contacts when squad workload requires it
• actively manages workload of squad members (can be requested to dispatch incoming requests through the squad members)
• implements action plans and ensures proper and thorough follow up
• handles customer escalations with speed and urgency
• keeps contacts with support members, squads, escalating issues and follows up on resolution
• helps identify productivity / process improvements
• coordinates and oversees that the operating procedures are maintained, understood and followed by staff

Supports to Squad lead
• identifies coaching and training needs, organizes, and follows up on training completions
• provides insights to Squad lead on individual performance – helps implement corrective actions
• monitors attendance policy, breaks and absences
• coordinate vacation and backup within the squad
• supports Squad lead with recruitment activities when required
• backs up Squad lead on operational topics when Squad lead is absent
• administrative support to Squad lead on ILC and on IBM Workday
• works across team boundaries

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
• German fluency is a must
• Coordination, problem solving, good communication skills, pro-active approach
• Experience in German payroll

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
• Good knowledge of SAP HR
