Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

*Application Manager is the owner of the application and responsible for the ap-plication lifecycle. In collaboration with Service managers & Architects, she/he is defines the application roadmap based on consolidated and prioritized demands from related CFSs, steers Application Engineers or external suppliers in terms of application capabilities, priorities and time-lines and defines/agrees application related quality and financial targets.

*Improve system and service availability and consistency, and increased opera-tions efficiency with the use of technology
*Responsible for E2E Application Lifecycle Management (Plan, Design, Build and 2nd & 3rd line of operations) of assigned applications.
*Ensure scalable solutions for enterprise-wide deployment.
*Provide for technical growth through mentoring and technical training.
*Responsible for on-time delivery of application backlog
*Provide virtualized applications based on the priorities defined by Service Mana-ger, Business
*Provide application functional componenents defined by Service Architect
*Plan application delivery & roadmap in form of application backlog
*Manage the on-time delivery of application backlog
*Responsibility for application design in alignment with service architecture
*Manage application build by internal development/configuration and/or by deli-very of 3rd party provider
*Manage application intergration & validation as an integral part of Application Li-fecycle process in order to meet all application quality KPIs
*Application capacity management
*Manage application functions like: fault management, configuration manage-ment, accounting management, performance management, security manage-ment
*Participate in selection of the 3rd party provider for decided elements of Applica-tion Lifecycle Management
*Negotiate requirements for OLA/SLA with 3rd party providers
*Define and fulfil security requirements
*Manage a high-performance DevOps team for both large-scale and medium traf-fic
*Implement the latest DevOps practices and processes, such as automation, con-tinuous delivery and continues operations
*Collaborate with architects and software engineers on improving application deli-very
*Streamline operations for improving uptime, reducing service incidents, and acce-lerating software deployments
*Be responsible for fulfillment of set quality and quantity KPIs
*Provide technology leadership and working guidelines to drive a high level of productivity of the Knowledge Team.
*Ensure the provision of 2nd & 3rd level support tasks in Trouble To Ticket Solution or Event Management
*Continuous share of knowledge between Pan Net SoC and Knowledge Team based on lessons learned from incident and also new application/service intro-duction.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Computer Science, Information Systems, related field

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

*Five to seven years’ experience working in Telco or Information Technology (IT) Development and/or Operations environment
*Experience in development/operations of Mobile Data platforms(ePC, PCRF,AAA)
*Experience working with diverse infrastructure options such as private and public cloud.
*Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills, resourcefulness and initiative
*Ability to multitask in a busy and demanding environment
*Strong analytical and conceptual skills
*Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information
*Co-operate with other teams. Actively encourage strong working relationships with other teams

Brief description of the company

Deutsche Telekom Pan-Net - established within Pan IP program is a company which will steer and manage the whole pan-European Network. Being the key entry gate for requirements towards Pan-Net portfolio, we will manage a common service production catalogue, establish new processes and operating models, combining assets and resources to create services for the national companies. To achieve all this we are building a new, cross-functional and truly international team.
