Job description, responsibilities and duties

General description/ Purpose
Managing the GDU SAP Operations UNIT (440 FTE) which consists of 3 Departments operating on 24X7 support model and GCU Shell operation (40 FTE)
Delivering the services offered by the SAP Operation team and Shell teams to customer within the European/APAC and AA region
Accountable for SAP near shore delivery and managing the organization as per the Quality KPIs, customer satisfaction and demand.
Accountable that the cost stream is planned properly and the budget flow is according to the T-Systems overall financial targets.
Accountabilities
Strategy:
Define and update annually a strategy and portfolio (business direction, people, 4 pillar) for your organization within the framework of the DTAG, TSI and global unit strategy.
After the annul approval through the TSSK board of directors, monitor and report regularly the execution of the strategy on the TSSK board of directors
Finance:
Planning and monitoring of opex in an annually , monthly break down after the approval of the TSSK board of directors in the execution measured through the TSSK dashboard
Define, monitor and execute measures to stay monthly monthly within the budget e.g. efficiency program, training budget, travel budget, personal costs primary and secondary
Request and monitor purchase order entry and ensure all PO to be available before start of business
Quality:
Negotiating and monitoring KPIs, SLAs and other business relevant quality parameters which are defined by your customer and/or BOD&Q of your portfolio
Defining proactive measures to safeguard all quality parameters and in case of negative deviation initiate and monitor countermeasures to get back to green
Being accountable for SLA´s, meet contractual obligations
Communication and process:
Aligning global business view with the local vie of your unit by being member of the global management board of the global organization
Executing the governance model defined in TSSK and in the respective global organization (guidelines, management handbook, process and process improvements)
Ensuring proper communication within your unit to ensure that all employees are aware of the company and unit strategy and the targets of the pillars
People:
Maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting/reducing, training employees, secure legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
Accomplishing staff results by communicating expectations, planning and monitoring job results, providing overview, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, developing, coordinating, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Management scope
Managing the Unit of up to 9 direct reports and up to 480 people
Managing revenues up to 16.7 mil. and costs budget of 15.6 mil.
Accountable for over 130 customers worldwide including global player like Shell and Philips
Development of new business areas according to GDU SAP TS strategy (HANA,PCIs,SD)
E2E service development and implementation for customers (pre-sale support, consultancy, architectural design, implementation and operation service, SDM support)

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

Requirements Education
 University degree Experience
 Strong SAP Basis and Infrastructure background with more than 5 years of experience in IT industry (SAP Basis Certified will be value added)
 3-4 years in knowledge in service management (e.g. SLAs, ITIL, financial management, driving down unit cost, KPI reporting) combined with a customer focused and results oriented drive.
 Experience in managing Department of at least 80 – 100 people
 Well verse in ITIL process
Languages
 Advanced English and German language as an advantage Others
 Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to establish credibility and rapport with staff as well as business contacts. Able to communicate across all levels in the organization.
