Global Supply Planning Team Lead

Our client, a Swiss-based company with a significant global presence, is currently looking for a colleague in the position of Supply Planning Team Lead to join their dynamic team in Budapest.

Key Responsibilites

- Responsible for the Supply Planning team which performs Supply Planning activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all Supply Planning activities for the Supply Planning team.
- Act as a main point of contact for the Head of Planning in relation to defined processes.
- Builds constructive and effective relationships with cross functional teams and stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners by phone or via email
- Support the set-up and supervise the Supply Planning team for the pilot countries (team up to 7 persons)
- Provide professional support for the team: Coach team members, set goals, evaluate skill development, develop individual action plans and train team as needed
- Issue resolution for Supply Planning activities
- Supervise day to day operations in the Supply Planning area:

For global vendor managed materials:
- Optimize inbound supply patterns and evaluate exception requests from VMI Planner
- Manage planning parameters and lead time data and evaluate exception requests from VMI Planner
- Identify material supply constraints and collaborate with global Supply Chain team to develop resolution options
- Create presentation material for supply review and executive S&OP

For global vendor managed materials and non-vendor managed materials:
- Optimize network inventory levels and evaluate exception requests from site
- Manage strategic stockholding requests for raw materials
- Generate material requirements plan
- Manage long term supply issues

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Proficient in Business English, (German or French knowledge is an advantage)
- Min. 3 years of experience in Planning and min. 1 year of experience in a team-leading role
- Required competencies: customer focus, decision quality, managing diversity
- Hands on experience with large ERP system(s), SAP MM/PP modules
- Advanced MS Excel and good knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience of knowledge transfer activity is an advantage
- Ability to work independently
